Cuddeback Uses Native
5 MP Sensors
Mega pixel half-truths. Using a method
called pixel interpolation a camera can
convert a 1.3 MP image to a 5 MP im-
age, or convert a 2 MP
image to a 8 MP
image. e camera’s
soware articially
adds 3 extra pixels
for each physical pixel
to make the image have more pixels. We
consider interpolation a marketing ploy
that does not improve, and may even
degrade image quality. is technique
allows the manufacturer to use lower cost
low mega- pixel imagers, yet specify the
articial interpolated pixel count.
Cuddeback cameras always specify the
native pixel count of the image sensor.
